The 2026 Somali Health Summit Opens Tomorrow in Columbus

COLUMBUS, OHIO — The 2026 Somali Health Summit opens tomorrow, September 26, at the Hilton Columbus at Easton, bringing together clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and public health leaders. Hosted by the Bulsho Trust, the two-day event focuses on the theme “Rebuilding Somalia’s Healthcare System Through Collaboration & Innovation.”

The summit features a structured program of panel discussions, keynote presentations, and research paper sessions addressing health systems strengthening, public health policy, maternal and child health, and specialized clinical care.

Participants include international health consultants, senior global health officials, government representatives from the Federal Government of Somalia, practicing physicians, surgeons, nurse practitioners, and academic researchers presenting peer-reviewed findings and frontline clinical innovations. The program highlights the importance of local resource mobilization, digital health integration, and sustainable partnerships between domestic institutions and diaspora medical professionals.
